Builder Partnerships
Newberry Steel is also developing partnerships with production builders and developers who want to build homes using steel instead of traditional wood framing.
In Florida, what many refer to as “conventional construction” typically includes a combination of concrete block and wood framing. While this approach has been widely used, it often still relies heavily on wood for interior walls, second-story structures, and roof systems.
For builders looking to evolve beyond conventional methods, steel offers a more consistent structural approach across the entire home. Rather than mixing materials, cold-formed steel framing allows both exterior and interior systems to be built with a single, durable material designed for long-term performance.
In this model, Newberry manufactures and erects the steel framing system before handing the project back to the builder for completion.
By integrating steel into their building process, partners can deliver homes with improved structural consistency, reduced reliance on wood components, and a building system designed to perform in Florida’s demanding climate.
This service will initially be available across Florida and will expand as demand grows.
If you’re interested in connecting with a member of the Newberry Steel team about this, let’s talk!
These partnerships will allow builders to:
- Convert existing floor plans to steel construction
- Use Newberry Steel as a shell contractor
- Receive panelized steel systems engineered for faster installation
